Valakai Poriyal


















Ingredients :

Valakai - 1
Onion-1
Garlic- 4 cloves
Grated Coconut -1/4 cup
Green Chilly -1
Coriander powder - 1tsp
Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp
Salt to taste
Curry leaves- required amount

Method:
1.Cut the valakai into small sizes.
2.Cook the valakai separately.
3.Grind the coconut,chilly,onion,and garlic.
4.Heat the oil,add curry leaves,mustard and urud dhal.When the seed start splitting add the grinded paste and fry for few minutes.
5.Then add the turmeric,coriander powder.
6.Now add the cooked valaikai and salt.Then,stir for few minutes with low heat.
Now Valakai poriyal is ready to serve.

Gulab Jamun

Gulab Jamun is one of the delicious dessert.This is popular in North India and Pakistan.This is made from milk powder.

Ingredients:
Carnation Milk Powder-1 cup
All kinds of Flour - 1/4 cup
Baking Soda- 1/2 tsp
Butter -3 tsp
Milk -1/4 cup
water - Required amount
Sugar- 2 1/2 cup
Cardamom -5 cloves
Oil-required amount

Method:
1.Take the milk powder,add all kinds of flour,baking soda and mix well.
2.Then add the melted butter , milk and water to make a dough.
3.Keep the dough for 10 minutes.


















4.Then take the dough and make small balls without cracking,otherwise while frying balls will broken.


















5.Now heat the oil,add the balls one by one and fry until for its golden color.
















6.Then you want to make a syrup,so boil the required amount of water and add sugar.Stir this syrup for 10 minutes.Then add the cardamom cloves.
7.Now add the balls to this syrup and balls should be soak in syrup for 3 hrs.Now,Gulab jamun is ready.
