Lemon Rice
















Ingredients:

Raw rice - 1 cup
Lemon - 2 medium sized
Salt - as required
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Red chilles - 2
Oil - 1½ Tblsp
Asafoetida - 1 tsp
Finely cut curry leaves - 1 Tblsp
Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
Channa dhal - 1 tsp
Urud Dhal-1 tsp

Method:

Cook rice and allow it to cool in a broad basin. Heat oil and fry the mustard seeds , urud dhal,channa dhal,when seed start splitting add red chillies,curry leaves and fry for a minute. Then add turmeric powder and asafoetida . Squeeze lemon juice and mix well by adding salt.Then add this mixture to the cooked rice and stir well. Now lemon rice is ready to serve.
