Chicken curry
















Ingredients :


500 gms chicken
2 Onions
1 tomatoes
1/2 inch Ginger, chopped
4 pieces garlic
1 tsp chilli powder
1 tsp turmeric powder
2 tsp Coriander powder
1/2 tsp sombu(anise) seeds
1/4 tsp fenu greek seeds
1 tsp (cloves - 1, cinnamon stick - 1, bay leaf - 1)
Salt to taste
4 tsp Oil
2 tbsp Coriander leaves

Method :


Grind the ginger, and garlic .

Heat oil and add cloves, cinnamon stick, bay leaf, fenugreek seed and sombu seeds. After the seeds start splitting, add the onions and tomatoes.
Saute the onions for a while. Then, add the ginger,garlic paste and saute.
Then, add the turmeric powder, spices ,coriander powder, chilli powder and salt.
Fry this mixture for a while maybe adding a little bit of water.
Then, add the chicken pieces and some water and cover the pan with a lid and allow to cook for 1/2 hr - 1 hour (or until chicken is done).

Add the coriander leaves for garnish.
