Sambar



















Ingredients:

Onion-2
Tomato-1
Thoor Dhal-200grams
Greenchilli-3
Cumin Powder-2tsp
Chilly Powder-2tp
Tamarind-size of small lemon
Mustard-1tsp
Brinjal-1
Drumstick-1
Carrot-1
oil-3tsp
salt to taste
Asafoetida-1/4tsp
Turmeric Powder-1tsp

Method:
1.Cook the dhal separately.
2.Add tomatoes and the vegetable with water for boiling.
3.Soak the tamarind in little water and squeeze out the juice.
4.Heat the oil and then add the mustard seed,asafoetida.
5.After the seed splitting,add the onions,cumin ,chilly powder and fry it for few seconds.
6.Add the cooked dhal,tamarind juice and add salt to taste.Allow the curry to boil for few minutes.Now ,sambar is ready.
